Use a heavy fishing line to hand sew a rod pocket (similar to a drapery rod pocket) on one end of the rug. Run your hanger through the rod pocket. If you are hanging a large heavy rug, make sure to hang with sturdy anchors and utilize drilling anchors into wall studs if possible.
