Kind Words From A Happy Customer

Posted by creatingyourspace under Testimonials, Uncategorized

We just wanted to share some kind words from a happy customer that we appreciate very much!

Hi Bob,

I wanted to thank you for all your help with the carpet and vinyl for our rental.  You were very easy to work with and accommodating with everything that we were trying to do, including you great advice on the products…and the installation times worked out perfectly.  It was a stressful time and you made it enjoyable for me!  We have a renter moving in tomorrow….thank you again Bob.!

Warm Regards, Terri & Hamilton

The Four Seasons of Decorating: Spring

When you’re planning your home’s décor, one interesting way of looking at each space is to echo one of the four seasons. Every season has its own personality, and there are so many possibilities for bringing a season into a room.

We’ve talked about Summer, now let’s talk about spring. Think light colors and smooth textures, with a sense of freshness and shine. For flooring, natural bamboo sets just the right tone. Follow that light approach with a light, fine-grain wood for cabinets and furniture such as maple.

Bright pastel colors such as crisp yellow-green, pinks and lavenders speak to spring, and be sure to add plenty of pure whites – possibly in moldings and baseboards, and even in sheer curtains. Spring patterns in fabrics are easy to find – florals, bright abstracts and maybe a nice check can say spring if the colors are right.

Spring is about growing things, so add plenty of flowering plants in pots; tulips, daffodils and especially hyacinths for their amazing scent provide the finish to the space. Outside it may still be cold, but inside you’ve introduced spring into your home and your life.

Turn Wardrobe Tips into Décor Tips – Part 9

Posted by creatingyourspace under Rita Wilson Tips, Uncategorized

We’re on our final post in this series, and this one may be your favorite, “be grateful.” It’s easy to feel frustrated when our budgets don’t measure up to our tastes whether decorating a new home or fixing up the one we have. Now is a good time to step back and appreciate what we have.

First off, just having a home puts us in a better place than many people in the world. Then, the choices and quality you’re considering for your flooring and other home fixtures weren’t even available only a few decades ago. New technology, the opening of global markets and a desire on the part of manufacturers to expand their offerings puts you in a strong position to make your home beautiful, no matter how small your budget.

Finally, creating a home for yourself and maybe your family is not about comparisons. It’s about finding the you in your space, and using your choices to make that happen. Instead of focusing on limitations, think about the possibilities. This is an exciting time for you. Enjoy it. And be grateful for the opportunity.

Please take a moment to read this testimonial from one of our Las Vegas clients!

I needed a patch job done on my new kitchen floor where the movers tore a piece moving in my refrigerator. Carpets N More sent out a gentleman by the name of Juan to do the job.

He was there when he said he would be, very personable & professional. As I watched him work, I was amazed at the detailed work and patience he has. In a matter of a few minutes he was done and even though I knew where he had replaced the tile I could not tell it was a replacement piece, it’s perfect! I defy someone to come in and point it out to me.

I’m completely satisfied with the work done and Juan who also happens to be a very nice man. He truly is a magic maker for flooring.

Thanks so much to Carpets N More and in particular to Juan. You all have a wonderful craftsman in your employ, don’t let him go. Because of him and his work I will recommend your company and of course Juan to my family and friends and keep the # handy for me for future use.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey W. Baker

karin-croppedBelow is an interview with Design Consultant Karin Stalteri. Please read on to get to know Karin a little better!

What is your name and position with Carpets N More? Karin Stalteri – Design Consultant / Residential Contract Manager. I work in a dual role both as a design consultant meeting with customers to pick out their flooring and countertops as well as manage residential builder accounts.

How long have you been with the company? A little over 2 years

What is your favorite thing about Carpets N More? Getting to use my creativity

What do you think makes Carpets N More unique? We are able to provide our customers with great pricing because we do so much volume as opposed to some other stores and design centers that have very little work and are not able to pass on or provide their customers with these types of discounts and pricing.

Do you have a memorable customer experience that you can share? Just about every experience is memorable. I always enjoy the ones where people really care about their home and having it be something special.  I encourage people to take the time to really make smart choices that they are going to love now and for years to come.

Why should a customer choose Carpets N More over a box store or another retail store? Better pricing and customer service

What is the best part about your position? Helping people create a unique home.

If there’s one thing you could tell past, current or future customers, what would it be? Seal your grout and don’t get carpet that is too light!

What’s your favorite floor in your home and why? My entryway. I have a custom made medallion and it creates a great first impression.

If you could have any product that Carpets N More sells in your home what would it be? Antico Hardwood

dal-z846cafeReader Question:

What is the appropriate size grout joint width for rectified tiles?

Answer:

This question was submitted by Stuart Harris in the Las Vegas Craig Showroom and answered with support from Dal Tile.

Rectified tiles continue to increase in popularity, particularly in the commercial arena. For years, the
industry and Dal-Tile have recommended that Rectified tiles can be installed with a 1/16” grout joint.
However, installations have become more time consuming and difficult to ensure compliant installations when attempting to install a Rectified tile with a 1/16” grout
joint. In response, the new TCNA (Tile Council of North America) Handbook addresses this issue by
stating that “the actual grout joint size shall be at least 3 times the actual variation of
facial dimensions of the tile.” To simplify: Rectified tiles, regardless of size, shall have a grout joint
width no less than 1/8”.

Thanks, Stuart and Dal Tile!

Please read these kind words!

“My husband and I wanted to thank you for all that you did for us. We truly do appreciate you keeping your word on the promotion and going out of your way to make sure we were happy in the end. We apologize if we caused any confusion for your store or employees. We were very happy to work with Jonathan again as we realize he is very honest, upfront and professional. After leaving your store Sunday we went to a different carpet store and dealt with a guy who we knew was quoting us way over price and trying to sell us more square yards then we needed and after being to two other stores before we even came to yours when we bought our first carpet we realize that you guys really are one of the best deals around (even without discounts) and we will be back for any future needs and we will definitely be more than willing to let people know to call Jonathan or stop by. Thanks again for being so accommodating and helpful.”
